The Top Electric Car Companies To Watch #StartUps

#BusinessGuide

These days, more and more consumers seem to be making the switch from conventional vehicles to electric cars. Granted, the rising price of gas may have something to do with it. However, others are merely looking for something more practical to use on the road. The level of innovation on display at electric car companies is certainly one key to that success.

We know Elon Musk’s Tesla is a big player in the electric car game — but they’re not the only one. Below, we’ll point out some of the best manufacturers of electric cars on the market and why their product is worth consideration.

Tesla

Of course, we have to give the initial nod to Tesla.

For nearly two decades now, the company has perfected the idea of what electric cars are supposed to be. Lately, it’s really nailed down the formula to four different models. These include the Tesla Model S, the Model X, the Model 3, and the Model Y.

Which one of these to consider, though, depends on what you’re looking for.

Someone seeking a Sedan might like the Model 3 or Model S. Those preferring something from the EV side would likely prefer the Model S or the Model 3. However you decide, each of these offers top-of-the-line electric performance and can hold quite the charge for hundreds of miles.

What’s more, they’re comfortable to ride in and — thanks to Musk and company — they come with state-of-the-art tools for navigation and other means of getting from point A to point B. They really are the total package, which explains why it’s the top maker of electric cars, sitting pretty at $650 billion. (And rising, we might add.)

Rivian

Coming up in second — which isn’t a bad place to be in the electric car companies market — is Rivian.

A company that’s been around since 2009, this company has since perfected two electric models that hit the road last year. The Rivian R1S is a key SUV on the market, while those that prefer the power of a truck can lean towards the R1T.

Both are quite efficient when it comes to road performance. Based on the company’s development prowess, they should have no trouble holding up over the test of time when it comes to long road trips. These are dependable electric cars that anyone can get behind the wheel of and thoroughly enjoy.

Hopefully, as the year goes on, Rivian will be in the position to introduce even more vehicles to the market. For now, it’s just getting started.

Xpeng Motors

Next up in the parade of electric car companies, Xpeng Motors hails from China, showing they can make a good vehicle just as well as others.

Based out of Guangzhou, the company has made two great models for the market thus far. These include the electric crossover G3 and the P7 Sedan, which is the company’s main competitor to Tesla’s Model 3.

Both of these vehicles not only provide excellent performance and long-lasting value when it comes to dependability.

They also look pretty sleek, like any sports cars you would find on the market. Not to mention that their price is a bit more reasonable than anything Tesla has to offer, making them a solid choice for first-time buyers looking to dip into the electric car market for the first time.

Alas, at the moment, its business is only in China. However, soon enough, it’ll expand to other markets, including the U.S. and Europe. You’ll soon be able to get one of these electric cars for your very own.

Nio

Last but certainly not least, we come to Nio, a brand that’s also based in China.

It’s taken its craft of car making over the years very seriously, and it’s not slowing down anytime soon when it comes to its line of electric cars. In fact, it’s just revving up.

The company offers three different models at the moment — the SUV ES8, the crossover EC6, and the mid-size Sedan-ish ES6.

No matter which one of these electric cars you end up selecting, you’ll find an abundant amount of tech packed inside. You’ll also experience peak performance on the road, no matter where you end up driving.

The company also has smaller centers located worldwide, including Munich, Oxford and even San Jose. So there’s no problem when it comes to getting behind the wheel of one of Nio’s offerings.

Pricing isn’t too bad either, considering the premium models that you’re getting your hands on. If that’s something you aren’t looking for when it comes to electric cars, we’re not sure what is.
