Feeling stressed? These ‘just-funded’ European stresstech startups can help #Startups

#businesstips

Maybe your stress is caused by the current worldwide situation and everything it entails, or an overload of work or an occasional flare up, but stress affects our productivity, social and personal life, and most importantly, our health.

Sometimes, catching up with the fast-paced world we live in is impossible, and we need to take a step back and relax. With the increased interest in well-being, we’ve seen an increase in stress management apps in the last few years. Today we’re highlighting 5 teams based in Europe who are aiming to reduce your stress levels.

All of these startups were founded in the past few years, and in the case of this particular listicle, have landed funding rounds of over 1 million in the last 12 months, meaning that they’re likely to keep expanding and offer you more interesting stress relieving options:

MindLabsFounded in May 2020 in the UK, MinLabs landed a €1.5 million pre-seed round in October 2020 with the clear goal of making the world a happier place. MindLabs is a live platform that offers video classes run by experts designed to reduce anxiety, stress and loneliness. While most are on-demand, the platform also gives the opportunity to tune in with others in live classes with support from friends, family and their global community.

SelfapyBerlin-based Selfapy closed an approx. €5.1 million venture round in February 2020 to expand further. Their product offers an online self-help course to beat depression, anxiety and burnout. Powered by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, their self-help course aims to bring change and remove negative thinking. On the same app, users can also opt for weekly consultations with psychologists and join the Selfapy community.

MindlerFounded in Stockholm in 2018, Mindler closed an approx. €11.2 million Series A round in April 2020 to take their mental health care app to the next level. Mindler allows its users to speak to a psychologist online. Its model combines digital technology with leading-edge psychological expertise to increase access to effective treatment for mental health problems. With more than 250 psychologists and over 20 languages, Mindler guarantees a spot within 24 hours to ensure that you get the proper treatment as soon as possible.

Meru HealthBorn in Helsinki and with offices in San Mateo, California, Meru Health is on a mission to improve people living with mental health problems. Founded by experienced entrepreneurs and scientists and backed with an approx. €6.9 million Series A round in 2020, the app develops and delivers cost-effective and clinically proven digital solutions to help its customers battle burnout, as well as conditions like anxiety and depression. Meru Health guides people step-by-step towards lasting mental health with a 12-week treatment programme or a health coaching programme.

MendiFounded in Stockholm in 2018, Mendi recently closed a crowdfunding round through Indiegogo and Kickstarter of about €3 million, translating to over 10k Mendi neurofeedback devices. Within the first weeks, it became the most-funded Kickstarter project in history in the categories of brand and mental health. With a team of neuroscientists and neurofeedback experts, Mendi’s goal is to improve the brain health of 10 million people by 2025. Mendi brings together the powerful combination of brain training, brain health and lifestyle recommendations to understand your brain activity and make changes for the better.
