Handy AV appoints Oram as CTO #IoT

Handy AV has appointed Ben Oram as its chief technology officer (CTO). Handy AV is welcoming him to the team to develop and drive innovation for their cloud-based Blue River platform and range of digital retail products.

Oram is said to bring fresh, tech design-led vision to the digital signage specialists, Handy AV following successful terms at We Are Interact and Engage Works.

Handy AV is a specialist systems integrator of digital signage and digital experiences with more than 18 years of experience in the audio-visual and managed services industry. Handy AV has worked with such brands as Adidas, UK Department for International Trade, Dior, JD Sports, Kenzo, LVMH, Primark, and Queen.

On his new position Oram says, “I am delighted to be joining Handy AV at such a pivotal moment for the business as they’re proactively looking to the future for multiple sectors and are developing truly innovative solutions to future proof business strategies moving forward.”

Ben Oram started his career as a freelancer specialising in the design and scope and build of bespoke Audio Visual systems for planetariums, space centres, science museums and football stadiums globally.

He was then taken on by Creative Technology Agency, Engage Works to lead the technical spec, installation and ongoing technical development of high-profile technology-led experiences for clients including Sky and EY in the UK, Europe and the Middle East.

Later Ben moved on to innovative digital experience creators, We Are Interact as client service director, to lead the newly formed company for experiential installations aimed at the attractions and theme parks industries. Managing the conceptualisation of creative, technology-driven experiences including truly disruptive live experiences at Chessington World of Adventures and Body Worlds London.

When Ben isn’t at work designing tech solutions to revolutionise user-experiences, he can be found implementing the latest smart home technology and fulfilling his passion for riding motorcycles around UK and European tracks.
