On this morning’s WJR Business Beat, Jeff shares uplifting news about the desire to return to small, local business.
A new study just released from MomentFeed indicates that consumers intend to return to local shopping more than ever before. Of those consumers polled, 91 percent indicated that not only are they going to return to shopping locally at brick-and-mortar stores, they actually can’t wait to do it. Additionally, 34 percent indicated that they’re going to make it a point to shop locally even more now.
Categories that consumers look forward to visiting most following the crisis include grocery stores, convenience stores, and restaurants and entertainment centers.
Jeff reminds us that 68 cents of every dollar spent locally stays in our local communities to support our schools, beautify our towns, and pay for the things like parks and improvements and so on that are so important to us.
